Deputy Scott Pine
Scott was a hero in death and life, and was known for posting pictures of himself donating blood on Facebook with the caption “saving a life.”
Scott grew up in Bossier City and went to Apollo Elementary, Greenacres Middle School and graduated from Airline High School in 1997. He attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, where he earned his Bachelors and Master of Business Administration. After graduation, he moved to the Central Florida area where he married his wife, Bridget. They were blessed with three children over the next several years. Scott worked in banking for many years until he decided to get out from behind the desk and pursue a career in law enforcement. He attended the Police Academy and then was hired at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, where he served for 2 years.
We wanted to find the appropriate way to recognize Scott on the second anniversary of his end of watch, and felt like a blood drive would honor the way he lived life … a very giving husband, dad, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, law enforcement officer and blood donor.
