Vietnam War veteran Mike Hogan made it home in one piece after two tours of duty, but the war’s effects lay in wait. Hogan, 69, of Shreveport, flew an F-5 Phantom on all types of missions, including cover for cargo planes spraying Agent Orange. More than three decades after his service, he developed multiple myeloma, a blood cancer that often claims victims within five years.
