| Brittain Lane Pullen was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) one day after he was born. HLHS is a very rare and very serious heart defect that requires a series of operations. Dr. Joseph Caspi and Dr. Tim Petit performed Brittain’s first open-heart surgery when he was eleven days old and his second when he was six months old at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. Brittain lost a great deal of blood during surgery, and while recovering. He was the recipient of whole blood, red blood cells, plasma, and platelets throughout his hospital stay.
So many people have donated blood to Brittain. Walter and I are very thankful to each and every one of them. Incredibly, many of these people have never met him. Without wonderful people like you, Britt would not be here today!
Brittain is facing another surgery soon and he and so many others are going to receive what they need from donors like you! You are truly saving lives!
Thank you again,
The Pullen Family-
Walter, Heather, Auldon, Addison, and Brittain |
