|  With the help of blood donors, Rick Serrette of Beaumont, Texas is here to say thank you.
“My name is Rick Serrette. I was on large doses of Coumadin (blood thinner). A blood vessel ruptured during the night and I was rushed to the hospital. I was bleeding internally and they could not stop the bleeding.“
Mr. Serrette was transfused with 19 units of red blood cells, 6 units of plasma and 3 platelet transfusions. “I am so grateful that the bleeding stopped. I want to thank everyone at LifeShare Blood Centers and the people who came in to donate the blood that saved my life.”
