Summer’s heating up — and so is the need for blood donations. As we head into the upcoming July 4th holiday, LifeShare Blood Center is calling on everyday heroes like YOU to make a difference. Whether you’re kicking back at the lake or firing up the grill, take one hour to help save lives in your community.
🎆 Why Now?
Emergency rooms across the country see a huge spike in patients on July 4th and 5th, with nearly 10,000 more visits than usual — many due to fireworks-related injuries. These injuries often require a lot of blood — especially red cells and plasma — to help patients heal and survive.
🩸 But here’s the catch:
- Blood and platelets can’t be stockpiled.
- It can’t be manufactured.
- And it only lasts a few days or weeks.
That’s why we need YOU — right now — to step up and give.

🕒 Extended Hours for Summer Lifesaver Promotion!
To make it easier for you to save lives this summer, all LifeShare donor centers will have extended hours during our Summer Lifesaver promotion! Visit us Wednesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Please note: Our Bossier Donor Center will be open Friday and Saturday only during this promotion.
Can’t make it to a donor center? No worries! Don’t forget to look for one of our mobile collection vechiles at a community blood drive near you!
