Depending on how you interact with LifeShare, we may collect information such as your name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, email address, date of birth, appointment information, donation history, eligibility and screening information, and other information you provide to us in connection with blood donation.  Certain information may be collected as required by applicable regulatory requirements established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for blood donation and donor eligibility.

When you provide your mobile telephone number and elect to receive LifeShare informational text messages, we may also collect and maintain your SMS consent status, the date of your consent, and information necessary to administer your SMS preferences.

The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why it is requested, will be explained at the time it is collected or at any time upon request.

LifeShare utilizes SMS/text messaging for informational communications related to blood donation.

If you opt in to receive these messages, LifeShare may send texts concerning matters such as your estimated next donation date, appointments, community blood needs, nearby blood drives, and other information related to your blood donation.

These SMS messages are intended to provide informational, donation-related communications and are not promotional or marketing messages.

Your SMS consent is optional and is not required to donate blood or otherwise receive donor services from LifeShare.

You may opt out of LifeShare informational text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request assistance by replying HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency will not exceed the maximum frequency disclosed in the applicable SMS consent and terms.

SMS Service Providers

LifeShare may use third-party service providers to transmit SMS messages on LifeShare’s behalf and to support the administration of the SMS program.

LifeShare does not sell, share, or provide mobile telephone numbers or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
