How It Works
Step 1: Donate
Every donation moves you closer to your next milestone.
Step 2: Reach a Milestone
When your total donations equal one of our designated gallon levels, you’ve officially achieved a new LifeShare Legends milestone.
Step 3: Receive Your Invitation
You’ll receive a congratulatory email from LifeShare with a link to our donor gift shop. Eligible donors will also see a notification in their donor portal.
Step 4: Choose Your Gift
Select your favorite appreciation gift from the options available at your milestone level.
Step 5: We’ll Take Care of the Rest
Once your gift selection is submitted, we’ll process your order and have it shipped directly to you.

After Every Donation
It’s not all cookies and juice (although those are a bonus)! To celebrate your donation, all donors will receive a message from LifeShare when your blood product is sent to a hospital for use. This is our way of showing you the direct impact of your donation.
First-Time Donor
Welcome to the lifesaving team! While approximately 65% of people are eligible to donate blood, only about 3% of them do—and you’re one of them! As a first-time donor, you’ll receive a welcome letter and donor ID card in the mail. It’s a good idea to keep your donor ID card on you in case of emergencies because it lists your blood type!
1 Gallon (8 donations)
One gallon is one of the most significant milestones a donor can achieve. By this point, you’ve helped save up to 24 lives through your generosity.
3 Gallons (24 donations)
Your commitment is making a measurable difference. Three gallons donated means you’ve potentially impacted 72 lives.
5 Gallons (40 donations)
Five gallons strong! Your donations have helped provide lifesaving blood products to as many as 120 patients.
7 Gallons (56 donations)
Seven gallons of life shared means your generosity has impacted up to 168 lives and their families.
10 Gallons (80 donations)
Ten gallons represents an incredible commitment to your community and an impact of up to 240 lives changed.
13 Gallons (104 donations)
Your dedication has helped as many as 312 people receive the blood products they needed during critical moments.
15 Gallons (120 donations)
Fifteen gallons donated means up to 360 lives have been saved or improved because of your remarkable generosity.
20 Gallons (160 donations)
Twenty gallons is an extraordinary achievement, representing the potential to help 480 patients heal, recover, and thrive.
25 Gallons (200 donations)
Twenty-five gallons given means you’ve made a lifesaving difference for up to 600 people in your community.
30 Gallons (240 donations)
Thirty gallons donated is a truly exceptional accomplishment, with a potential impact on 720 lives.
35 Gallons (280 donations)
Your generosity has reached up to 840 patients, creating a lasting legacy of hope and healing.
40 Gallons (320 donations)
Forty gallons donated reflects decades of dedication and a potential impact of 960 lives.
45 Gallons (360 donations)
Your unwavering commitment has helped transform up to 1,080 lives and families throughout our region.
50 Gallons (400 donations)
Fifty gallons donated is a legendary legacy of hope, healing, and humanity. You’ve impacted up to 1,200 lives!
Lifetime Legend – 50+ Gallons
Reaching Lifetime Legend status is a remarkable achievement reserved for donors whose lifelong commitment has made an immeasurable impact. With more than 50 gallons donated, you represent the very best of what it means to be a donor. You have touched thousands of lives and exemplify the spirt of selfless service that powers our mission every day.
How do I know when I've reached a milestone?
LifeShare will automatically notify you by email when you qualify for a LifeShare Legends milestone reward. You will also receive a pop-up notification when you sign into your donor account.
How long do I have to claim my gift?
Milestone reward links remain active for six months from the date they are issued.
What if I don’t select a gift?
If a gift is not selected before the redemption link expires, the reward opportunity will expire. You will have the opportunity to select a gift at your next milestone.
How long will shipping take?
Please allow up to four weeks for delivery after your gift selection is submitted.
Do all donation types count?
Yes. Whole blood, platelet, plasma, and double red cell donations all contribute toward your LifeShare Legends milestone total. Every donation counts equally (8 donations = 1 gallon, per industry standard).
Will my previous donations count?
Yes! All eligible donations in your LifeShare donor history will count toward your cumulative donation total and your LifeShare Legends milestones progress. The LifeShare Legends program is not retroactive—milestone gifts can only be redeemed for milestones achieved on or after June 15, 2026. Donors are not able to claim rewards for milestones reached before the program launch date. In other words, your past donations absolutely count toward your total and help establish your current milestone status, but rewards begin with the next qualifying milestone you reach after the program starts.
