Your information matters.  So does protecting it.

Beginning August 20, 2026, you’ll use your email address or phone number for multi-factor authentication (MFA) to securely access your online donor account.

To help safeguard your personal information, LifeShare Blood Center is enhancing the security of our online donor portal by enabling MFA for all online accounts.  MFA is a widely used security feature that helps protect your account–even if someone else knows your password.  After entering your password, you’ll receive a one-time verification code by email or text that you’ll use to complete your login.

What is Changing?

Beginning August 20, 2026:

  • An email address will be required to access your online donor account.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required for all online donor portal logins.
  • When you sign in, you’ll verify your identify by using a one-time security code sent to your email or text.

If you don’t currently use the online donor portal, you are not required to create an account.  However, we encourage every donor to take advantage of the many convenient features available.

What Should You Do Now?

  1. Make sure we have your current email address.  Need to update your email address or contact information?  Contact Us.
  2. Activate or start using your online donor account.  The donor portal is the easiest way to manage your donations and stay connected with LifeShare.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to create an online account?

No.  Creating an online account is option, but encouraged.

Will I need my email every time I log in?

Yes.  Your email address will be your username, and you’ll receive a verification code to either your email or text to complete the login process.

What if I don’t have an email address?

That’s okay.  You don’t need an email address to donate with us. If you’d like to use the donor portal, an email address is required to securely access your account, view your donation history and health screening results, manage appointments, and redeem donor rewards.

Why is Lifeshare making this change?

Cybersecurity threats have increased significantly across healthcare and nonprofit organizations.  MFA is one of the most effective ways to protect your personal information from unauthorized access.

Thank you for helping us keep your information secure.

Your generosity saves lives, and protecting your personal information is an important part of caring for our donor community.
